High Streamflow Advisories still in place
Stay alert near rivers: Lethbridge Fire & Emergency Services
Jun 5, 2026 | 9:12 AM
Although the rain has stopped, Lethbridge Fire & Emergency Services is warning us that rivers in our region are still dangerous and unpredictable.
A survey Thursday afternoon by its fire prevention team found a fair bit of damage to river banks along the Oldman River and low-lying trails which, in some cases, city crews have closed off to the public.
A boating advisory put in place on Monday remains in place until further notice.
The Oldman, Milk, and a section on the St. Mary River, downstream of the dam, all remain under a High Streamflow Advisory.
