Four runs in the second inning proved to be the difference as the Lethridge Bulls dropped the Sylan Lake Gulls 5-2 in Western Canadian Baseball League action Saturday evening.

The Bulls’ win came on just six hits, but included a homer from second baseman Kalem Haney, as part of the scoring in the second – for Haney, it turned out to be his only hit but proved important.

First baseman Carter Claerhout was 2-for-4 at the plate.

The Toros’ Brett Getz took the win, throwing 53 K’s over 88 pitches in six full innings of play.

Lucas Huynh earned the save.

Saturday night’s win was the fourth-straight for the Bulls, and improved the club’s record to 6-and-1.

They wrap up a four-game homestand Sunday afternoon against the very same Gulls.

First pitch is set for 2:00 at Spitz Stadium.
