Vauxhall Baseball Academy alum earns 2nd career MLB win against Orioles Sunday
Alberta’s Adam Macko has done it again.
In just his 11th appearance in Major League Baseball, the 25-year-old Vauxhall Baseball Academy graduate earned his second career win on the mound as the Toronto Blue Jays rallied to beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-4 Sunday afternoon.
Macko entered the game in the top of the sixth and pitched one complete inning, striking out two of the four batters he faced, throwing 12 strikes in his 18 pitches, and giving up just one hit.
Macko, who recorded his first-ever win against the New York Yankees back on May 21st, has an earned run average of just 1.64 over 11 combined innings of work, giving up 11 hits, but also retiring 11 batters in the process.
