Lethbridge remains at low end of average monthly rental rates

The latest figures from Rentals.ca continue to show that Alberta’s secondary cities, like Lethbridge, remain one of the most affordable places to rent anywhere in the country. 

In its latest survey of the 25 largest markets in Canada, outside of the largest six centres, Lethbridge placed sixth with an average rent of $1,448-per-month for purpose-built and condo rentals.

Fort McMurray actually led the way among Alberta cities for affordability at $1,281-per-month with Lloydminster, Medicine Hat, and Red Deer following closely behind.

Alberta continued as one of the cheapest provinces to rent in, at number three, with average prices last month falling by almost five percent versus May of 2025.
