Hockey community remembers former Lethbridge Hurricanes president, club governor

The Lethbridge Hurricanes and Western Hockey League are remembering a longtime volunteer and supporter of junior hockey in our region.

Herman Elfring, who spent 23 seasons with the ‘Canes, including as president and club govenor, has passed away.

In 2017, he was awarded with the WHL’s Distinguished Service Award and was named to the club’s Wall of Honour last year as a builder.

Elfring was 76.
