Lethbridge Family Services looking to expand Toy Depot program with legacy donation

Jun 15, 2026 | 8:42 AM

While the exact details will be announced at a later date, Lethbridge Family Services is looking at expanding its Angel Tree Toy Depot program.

Director of Advancement and Communications Michelle Galucci says that’s thanks, in part, to a very generous donation from the family of Annie Olsen.

“The Olsen family has chosen to create a lasting legacy in Annie’s memory,” Galucci said during an event Friday morning at the site of the city’s Angel Tree program.

“Their vision is that Annie’s spirit of generosity, love, and joy will live on in perpetuity with the new Angie’s Angel Tree Toy Depot.”

Annie’s mom, Bekah, on hand for the announcement, and husband, Jim, lost their daughter while she slept back in October 2022.

Meantime, another event, being billed as A Celebration for Annie, will take place Friday at Nikka Yuko Gardens between 5 and 7 p.m., with the entire community welcome to attend.
