MP recognizes Picture Butte in parliament speech as community celebrates 100th birthday

Dubbed The Livestock Feeding Capital of Canada, the Town of Picture Butte is celebrating its 100th anniversary later this year. 

Lethbridge MP Rachael Thomas, who represents the community, stood in the House of Commons on Friday, June 12th to acknowledge the milestone.

 “From its farms and local businesses, to its schools, and its churches, and its volunteers, Picture Butte continues to represent the very best of Southern Alberta,” said the Member of Parliament.

“To everyone who has built, who has served, and who has strengthened this community over the past century, I wish to extend my sincere gratitude.”
