Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association celebrates gold anniversary in 2026

The Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association (LTRA) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and the head of the organization admits that would not be possible without support from the community. 

Executive Director Kale Hayes shares that the concept began on a small scale.

“When we started out, this was an idea that was taking place in someone’s backyard. So, they had gone down, saw a conference, saw the benefits of therapeutic riding, and got a bunch of people together. That legacy of 50 years absolutely speaks to both the impact of the programming, but the belief of our community.”

To recognize five decades of therapy, LTRA is holding a community open house on Saturday, July 11th to thank the community.
