Town of Coaldale measures itself against other similar communities in region, province

To give residents and businesses an idea just where their community is compared to other similar-sized centres, the Town of Coaldale has published its 2025 Comparative Analysis.

Besides looking at its finances, the report also captured Coadale’s operational, taxation, growth, and public safety performance against a group of peer and neighbouring municipalities.

Now in its seventh year, the Town says it’s meant to provide residents, businesses, investors, and elected officials with a better understanding on overall performance in the community.

In the last four years, Coaldale said it reduced its residential mill rate by 14.4%, the second-largest reduction among its peer and neighbouring municipalities and its non-residential mill rate by 2.7%, also bucking the trend in the region.
