Lethbridge, Coalhurst to celebrate Canada’s 159th birthday Wednesday
Heavy rain over the weekend and yesterday has prompted the City of Lethbridge to make some noticeable changes to its Canada Day celebrations.
Because of a saturated ground at Henderson Lake Park, the City has decided to move some of the events to the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre, including the food trucks and youth market.
Opening ceremonies are set for 11 a.m. and main stage entertainment will move indoors this year.
“Other activities like the youth market and military displays will be hosted on the north pad outside the facility’s front entrance, rather than in the park,” said the City on its website Tuesday.
