A 30-year-old motorcyclist is facing several traffic-related charges after being caught last Saturday (June 27) going close to 90K over the speed limit on a stretch of Scenic Drive in Lethbridge.
LPS, who haven’t named the man, say the driver, apparently part of a larger group of motorcycles, was issued violation tickets for careless driving, speeding, stunting, and racing without a permit.
In all, 70 violation tickets were handed out during the targeted enforcement initiative over the weekend which included everything from a roadside suspension to operating without valid insurance.
The campaign is part of a Summer-long crackdown by police on speeding, stunting, and noise violations.
