High Streamflow advisories still in place for a number of Southern Alberta rivers
The Alberta Rivers Forecast Centre continued High Streamflow advisories into Saturday morning for several rivers in southern Alberta.
Advisories, as of 8:30 a.m. Saturday, were in place for the Oldman River, downstream of the dam, Waterton River both upstream and downstream of the reservoir, Willow Creek, Belly River, and the St. Mary River, downstream of the reservoir.
A High Streamflow Advisory was also up for the South Saskatchewan River Basin from the Oldman confluence to the Saskatchewan border.
The centre says river levels have now peaked and, in most cases, are beginning to fall, however, there is still the potential for some low-land flooding.
