New Lethbridge Family Services-led project to help teens, young adults ‘adapt’ into community
Lethbridge Family Services is hoping a new project it’s facilitating will help reach teens and young adults finding it difficult to fit in.
Ricardo Campos Azueta says it’s particularly hard for new Canadian youth trying to adjust into a new culture.
“When they came to a new country, they experience, like, a shock,” Campos Azueta explained during a public unveiling of the program July 2.
“Like difficulties in language barriers or just adapting into the community is a cultural shock. This program will help them and guide them to adapt better, easier, and to give them that sense of belonging.”
