Annual water drive underway for ‘at risk’ population exposed to summer heat
Lethbridge’s annual Water Drive is underway, with several community groups and agencies collecting bottled water for those most, at risk, during our current heat wave.
Lethbridge Business Revitalization Zone executive director Sarah Amies says there are four different ways you can help.
“By donating unopened cases of bottled water…by making a financial contribution to assist with bulk water purchases…by organizing a workplace, school, or neighbourhood water collection drive…and, by sharing information about the campaign on social media and within networks.”
Unopened cases of bottled water and monetary donations can be dropped off until August 31st at the Interfaith Food Bank on 3rd Avenue North, Lethbridge Food Bank on 2nd Avenue South, or the Streets Alive Mission on 2A Avenue North.
