Honourary grand marshall named for Coalhurst’s Miners Days parade this Saturday

Parade Day is Saturday for Miners Days in Coalhurst, and the town has come out with its honourary parade grand marshall for this year’s event. 

Longtime resident Alison Arneson, who moved with her family to the community in 1972, is known for her years of public service.

Mayor Deb Florence says Alison has served the community with humility, consistency and heart, whether through Council, youth programs, recreation or the Royal Canadian Legion.

Her story is woven into the history of Coalhurst, the mayor added.
