Shoe For Kids YQL drive returns next month, ahead of school start

The sixth annual shoe drive by the Shoes for Kids YQL Foundation is coming up fairly fast – on Saturday, August 15th, in fact.

President Mallory Kristjanson was asked, if it’s just running shoes they were looking for, to which she answered “yes.”

“The reason being is that these kids can then walk to and from school in a brand new pair of runners. The can participate in their gym class. They can participate in extra-curricular activities,” says Kristjanson.

“We have kids playing badminton, playing basketball now as a result of having a new pair of shoes because of this initiative.”
