Elks eliminated from American Legion AA State Baseball tournament

The host Lethbridge Elks have been knocked out at the Alberta/Montana AA State baseball tournament, falling 12-5 Monday to the Billings Scarlets. 

Head coach Scott Oikawa elaborated on his team’s performance after the game.

“You just hope you play well. That wasn’t necessarily the case in our first and third game,” Oikawa said.

“It was really unfortunate. We had good crowds and I think the kids were prepared, but often times, (you) maybe want it too much. Tried too hard. This game will come and get you if you do that.”
