Lethbridge Police undertake one-day large-scale enforcement blitz

The Lethbridge Police Service were behind a major enforcement blitz around the city last Tuesday (July 28) that involved some 100 warrants being executed. 

It also resulted in the removal of dozens of encampments, in what police said were ongoing efforts to address crime and disorder. 

In all, 26 people were arrested with 15 criminal charges laid, including for open drug use and bylaw-related concerns. 

In one interaction, LPS officers provided medical aid to a man experiencing an apparent drug overdose, using Naloxone to revive him.
