Long-standing culture, history shared with world at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump
One of Alberta’s biggest tourist attractions recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the UNESCO heritage convention signing by Canada.
Quinton Crow Shoe, with the Piikani Nation, is a the marketing and events director with the Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump historical site.
Crow Shoe says he’s thankful of the collaboration of not only the federal government but the Province in creating a world class Indigenous interpretive centre.
“Because it gives us the opportunity to share our way of life, but not only share, but to retain it,” said Crow Shoe during the event.
