RCMP lay charges against young southern Alberta man for ‘cattle rustling’ incident(s)
An 18-year-old southern Alberta man is facing criminal charges following an investigation into an alleged incident or incidents of cattle rustling.
Mounties in Diamond Valley say they received a report of five long-horned cows being taken from a pasture in Eden Valley in early February.
The RCMP’s Livestock Investigation Unit, along with Livestock Identification Services, were eventually able to track the cattle down.
The investigation revealed that the cows were reportedly sold at two auction markets in Fort Macleod and Picture Butte.
