Continued hot, dry, windy forecast prompts more fire restrictions for the region

Continued hot, dry, and forecast windy weather resulted in more fire restrictions being imposed by local authorities on Tuesday. 

Three more communities have been added to list including the County of Newell and Kainai First Nation, where burning of bush, grass, debris, and garbage is not allowed until further notice.

Like the City and County of Lethbridge, the Town of Fort Macleod also put an ‘all out’ in place, cancelling all existing fire permits and saying it’s not issuing any new ones, until further notice.
