Alberta Health Services puts up Water Quality Advisory for Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park

A water quality advisory has been issued for the beach area at Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park after elevated levels of bacteria were found by Alberta Health Services.  

Anyone who swims or wades into the river, including pets, run the risk of skin, ear, or eye infections and gastrointenstinal issues like vomiting and diarrhea. 

As always, AHS warns to never use untreated water for cooking or cleaning, even when the advisory is lifted, at some point.

The warning remains in place until further notice.
