Cyanobacteria bloom growing in Milk River Reservoir prompts AHS warning

Alberta Health Services issuing an advisory for the Milk River Reservoir after a blue-gree algae bloom was discovered near the Ridge Park Campground. 

Residents living near the shoreline and visitors to the campground beach being strongly urged not to swim or wade into the water until further notice.

The suggestion is to avoid contact with any blooms that might wash up on shore and not eat fish that comes from the lake. 

Just as important is to not let your four-legged friends go into the water as the toxic blooms can be fatal, in some cases, to your pet.
