Province announces $21 million in funding for sexual assault and violence non-profit groups

Lethbridge’s newly-named Aurora Centre and Lethbridge Family Services are two of the two dozen groups to share in a $21 million funding package from the Province of Alberta.

The government says the money will help the centres to increase access to specialized supports for those impacted by sexual violence and abuse, including youth and children.

The funding, the Province says, is part of a $93 million investment in this year’s budget that not only provides support for victims but also addresses the issue of family and sexual violence.
