Popular Warrior Relay Races to return to 2026 edition of Lethbridge Rodeo

As we near the annual Whoop-Up Days celebrations, one of the highlights of next week’s event in Lethbridge is the pro rodeo, but also something that was added in recent years to the rodeo.

Kynan Vine is the rodeo’s show producer but also oversees the very popular and a ‘must see’ Warrior Relay Races.

“We’re the only rodeo in Canada, and potentially North America, that runs the relay races at the same time as the rodeo, so they’re one show,” said Vine.

“The prize money (this year) is going up which is important to us to, you know, compensate the athletes and the teams in the relays fairly and try to garner the best competitors in both that we can.”
