The Southern Alberta Art Gallery is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a four part exhibition it’s calling Asterisms

The current show can be found in three unique flags on display at Indian Battle Park in Lethbridge’s River Valley.

It’s one of the sites, last Summer, where four pairs of artists, who make up of the series, were taken to, as SAAG’s executive director Su Ying Strang tells explained.

“So, we did get to spend some time at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre and down by the Oldman River and got to look a little better around at the local flora – some of the Cottonwoods, the Showy Milkweeds, etcetera, and spend some time down there.”
