Local business could be affected by threatened tariffs after failed Canada-U.S. talks

With trade and tariff talks between Canada and the U-S now stalled, many local businesses, who have ties to the States, are bracing for what comes next. 

One of those is Analog Books in Lethbridge.

“In fact, our biggest publisher, our biggest supplier is Penguin Random House,” company co-owner Scott Warris told Lethbridge News Now Saturday, just hours after Prime Minister Mark Carney said he had suspended negotiations with the United States.

“Their warehouses are in the U.S. Their product comes from Tennessee and we get shipments from them (almost) everyday.”
