Honouring Indigenous culture and history on Alberta Day

Officials with the City of Lethbridge say they are ready to celebrate Alberta Day.

The celebration marks the official establishment of Alberta as a province in 1905. Although the day is officially recognized on Sept. 1, the city says events are planned over the course of a few days.

In Lethbridge, officials say the 2026 celebrations place a special focus on Indigenous culture, history and community.
