Charges laid against four teens following incident inside Lethbridge shopping centre

Shoppers at the Park Place Mall in Lethbridge were alarmed to hear the sound of, what appeared to be, gun shots late Friday afternoon. 

The firearm, as it turned out, was an airsoft pistol but with patrons not knowing, many ran for cover in the packed shopping centre. 

Lethbridge Police say two teens from Cardston and two others from Lethbridge were in a verbal altercation when things escalated. 

LPS and mall security were able to locate the four, following the incident. and besides the pistol, also seized a knife and baton.
