Angus Reid Institute poll shows growing support for Carney, Liberals

Calling it the ‘Trump Bump’, new polling by the Angus Reid Institute shows a 46-percent support rating for Mark Carney’s Liberals. 

The survey, carried out earlier this week, sees the opposition Conservatives in second place, 14 points back, and the NDP a distant third at just 12 percent. 

61-percent of respondents also approve of Carney’s performance versus 32-percent for Conservative leader Pierre Pollievre. 

That’s quite a change from September of last year when the Tories held a two-point lead at 40-percent and the Liberals had 38.
