9/11 ceremony planned for Southminster United Church in Lethbridge Friday morning

A community commemoration of the events of 9/11 will take place Friday morning in the City of Lethbridge. 

It’ll begin with a memorial parade at 10:30 from Fire Station #1, downtown, with first responders in full uniform.

“We’ll be marching together as a unit with the pipe band playing down 4th Avenue (South),” says senior firefighter Neil Laboske, the lead organizer of the commemoration.

“We’ll be stopping, arriving right outside of the front of the Southminster United Church. We’ll be arriving about ten minutes before the ceremony. The parade is open to the public to view and we hope people will come out and take a look at us.
