Lethbridge Citizen Walk About set for Friday morning at 10 a.m.
The annual Citizen Walk About, now in its 16th year, is set to go this coming Friday morning from the steps of Lethbridge City Hall.
The event is a combined effort by Inclusion Lethbridge and the South Region Self Advocacy Network.
Chelsey Peat speaks on behalf of both groups.
“I know there will be a couple of food trucks and (display) tables. We also have a couple of self-advocates or individuals with disabilities. They’re going to selling some things that they’ve made but all-in-all, it’s free entertainment, free good time. It’s a chance to really learn about disability community and a chance to see self-advocates comfortable enough to be on stage speaking about the important things that matter to them.”
