U of L to implement new Bachelor of Engineering degree program next Fall

The University of Lethbridge is introducing a new Bachelor of Engineering program that, it believes, will help build a workforce in short supply. 

“There is a huge demand for engineers in southern Alberta,” says Dena McMartin, the vice-president for Research at the U of L.

“We’re hearing it from industry and there’s a lot of interest in terms of co-op work terms. A lot of applied learning that will be helped out by local industry, so, yes, we’re very much focused on meeting industry demand.”

The program is scheduled to start in Fall 2027.
