Canes open 2026-27 regular season at home Friday to Medicine Hat

The Lethbridge Hurricanes begin their 40th season of play in the Western Hockey League with a game tonight against the rival Medicine Hat Tigers. 

Ahead of puck drop, though, a big tailgate party is planned, starting at 5, in the East Plaza, including a fundraising barbecue put on by Brown’s Social House.

Canes are looking for their first win of the 2026-27 campaign, after going winless in all four of their pre-season games. 

Tonight’s Dairy Queen Home Opener begins at 7 at VisitLethbridge.com Arena.
