Hurricanes beaten twice by Tigers in weekend home-and-home series
It certainly was not the start the Lethbridge Hurricanes had hoped for, as they fell 5-1 Saturday night on the road in Medicine Hat, their second loss on the league’s opening weekend of play.
And, for the second night-in-a-row, it was Tigers goaltender Carter Casey that proved to the difference, letting in all-but-one of the 31 shots he faced.
Logan Stuart scored the Canes only goal in the game at 7:44 of the third period, on the powerplay, in one of seven opportunities the club had on the night.
The story of the game, though, was the Tigers’ Luke Cozen who had a three-goal performance to tie himself with three other players atop the league standings in goals.
