Pronghorns soccer clubs take victories in ‘triple-header’ sports day at U of L
It was a win-win situation for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns soccer clubs Saturday.
Kate Kungel assisted on the opening goal by Brynn Birnie in the 13th minute, before scoring herself late in the match, in the 71st minute, as the Horns doubled the University of Manitoba 2-1 to improve their record to 2-and-3.
“Momentum (was) in our favour after our trip to Regina last week,” said head coach Cedric Bovon.
“We definitely felt the conviction and confidence coming into today. I think for us it’s building the little wins the last year and a bit. I think the win last week galvanized us to say, hey, we want that feeling, again.”
