Lethbridge home to North America’s first (and second) Yosakoi tournament

The Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge played host to some 150 dancers as part of the an international Yosakoi dance competition. 

Marketing and sales manager Eric Granson says it’s a big honour to be chosen.

“The first time we ever had a Yosakoi tournament in North America was last year and they chose our venue as their location,” Granson recalls.

“They loved it so much they’re returning for a second year-in-a-row. So, having two years of the Yosakoi tournament in North America’s history, we’ve had it twice here at our world class garden.”
