Police in Lethbridge charge teen with sex assault, indecent acts, on neighbourhood city trail

Police in Lethbridge have laid charges against a 15-year-old boy for a series of indecent acts, and one they say, escalated to a sexual assault. 

LPS say the incidents happened along a green strip in the Lakeview neighbourhood of the city last Wednesday afternoon. 

A 41-year-old woman called authorities to report she’d been sexually assaulted by the teen while walking along the Coalbank Trail. 

The woman telling police she noticed a young man hiding behind a garbage can and as she walked past, he made a lewd comment.
