Temperatures well into the 20s for final hours of Summer 2026

While not record-setting, temperatures in our region reached into the mid 20’s during the last hours of Summer yesterday, with the official start of Fall at 6:05 last night. 

Lethbridge reached a high of 24.1 Celsius, Milk River, to the south, was slightly warmer at 26.2, and Cardston plateaued at 26.4. 

To the west, Pincher Creek had a high of 22.9, Crowsnest Pass was 21.9 and Waterton Lake peaked at 24.5. 

The hotspot for both Alberta and Canada, as it turned out, was just to the east of us, in Medicine Hat, where the mercury topped out at 28.1 degrees.
