Province to honour fallen police and peace officers Sunday at Legislature

Tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 27, will mark the 28th year that Alberta will pay homage to its fallen police and peace officers, those, in a statement from the Province, who paid the ultimate sacrifice while on duty.

Records show that 108 officers have died in uniform in our province since 1876, including four with ties to Lethbridge.

A ceremony is set for 1 p.m. Sunday on the grounds of the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton, where the fallen will be honoured.

The Lethbridge Police Service has also set up a dedicated page on its website to remember those lost in the line of duty from our area.
