City of Lethbridge seeking capital projects feedback ahead of CIC meetings

Oct 2, 2026 | 12:10 PM

The City of Lethbridge Council will convene next week as the Community Issues Committee (CIC) will hear presentations on proposed projects for the 2027-2036 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

The CIP identifies construction costs for items like roads, parks, and utility projects.

The development of the draft CIP aligns with council’s directions to prioritize maintaining current capital assets, identifying proposed capital projects, and providing the community with information about other grant opportunities.

The CIC meeting is scheduled for Oct. 6 and will feature several CIP project presentations, including items related to transportation and transit, community services, the Lethbridge Police Service, and Excite Lethbridge.

The meeting is open for the public to attend and provide feedback or view online through the city’s YouTube page.

Residents can also get involved by stopping by the city’s booth at the Lethbridge Farmers’ Market on Sunday, Oct. 3, open from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The CIC meeting is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. Oct. 6 and will continue Oct. 7 and 8 if needed.

No final decisions will be made during these meetings, with council to deliberate on the next CIP budget Nov. 16-20, 2026.
