Oct 6, 2026 | 1:34 PM

Lethbridge Police have issued a ticket to the driver of a vehicle following a collision with a motorcycle on Oct. 2, resulting in serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Around 7:30 p.m. police responded to reports of a collision along the 1700 block of 23 Street North, finding an injured 68-year-old male receiving assistance from bystanders.

The man was transported to hospital for treatment while police investigated.

The Traffic Response Unit determined a 63-year-old male operating a Ford F350 had been attempting to exit a parking lot on 23 Street N when the vehicle collided with a southbound motorcycle.

The driver of the truck was issued a ticket for failing to proceed safely after stopping at an intersection.

Lethbridge Police are reminding the public that motorcycles are smaller and less visible than passenger vehicles, making rider awareness and driver vigilance critical.
