LPS and West Side Y to put on fraud sessions later this month
Lethbridge Police Service and the Cor Van Raay YMCA are co-hosting two upcoming sessions addressing the topic of fraud.
“What our hope is that anyone, from all walks of life, are all welcome to come,” says Tanner Hansen is a sergeant with the Economic Crimes Unit of the LPS.
“Fraud, unfortunately, is one of those crimes that is growing. It’a about doubled in the last ten years and one of the best ways we can counteract that climb is by bringing awareness to the public and letting them know how to defend themselves and what to look for.”
Two one-hour sessions are planned for the Y, located on the city’s west side, from 2 until 3 in the afternoon and between 7 and 8 in the evening, October 22nd.
