Residents in Crowsnest Pass to select new councillor in November

Residents in the Crowsnest Pass will head to the polls next month, following the resignation of first-term councillor Colleen MacDonald.

Nominations for the vacant position are being taken until Noon next Tuesday, October 20, with Byelection Day scheduled for November 17th.

MacDonald, in a letter to the community, said an ongoing legal challenge surrounding her nomination led to her decision to resign.

Council in the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass is made up of a mayor and six councillors.
