Lethbridge County Council has re-elected their reeve and deputy reeve.

During their annual organizational meeting Thursday, Oct. 15, Division 2 Councillor Tory Campbel was selected to serve as reeve for his sixth consecutive year, while John Kuerbis of Division 4 will serve as deputy reeve for his fifth year.

Campbell has been on council since 2017 and is in his third term.

“As I enter this next year as reeve, I will work alongside council to build on the progress we’ve made in positioning the county as a great place to live, work and invest,” said Campbell. “Our residents, communities, producers and businesses are the heart of the county, and they remain at the centre of every decision we make. I look forward to the year ahead.”

Kuerbis has been on council since 2021 and is in his second term.

“Serving as deputy reeve for a fifth year is an honour, and I’m proud of the working relationship this council has built,” said Kuerbis. “We remain focused on delivering value for our ratepayers and positioning the county for success well into the future.”

During the meeting, council also selected members to serve on internal and external board committees and commissions.
