BC’s Interior Health Authority issues drug alert warning for Kootenays

Authorities in British Columbia have come out with a warning.

Interior Health, which covers the southern part of the province, says a toxic drug supply circulating in the Kootenays.

The substance, sold as “down,” contains high levels of fluorofentanyl and medetomidine and has been linked to multiple overdoses.

It looks like chunks, pebbles or powder and can be any colour.
