Town of Pincher Creek to meet with MD on funding proposal by Heritage Acres

A funding request to the Town of Pincher Creek by the Heritage Acres Farm Museum is being put on hold until a future meeting between the Town and MD.

The museum, in a presentation last month, had asked Town Council for a $100,000 commitment towards a planned $400,000 renovation.

The funding, however, would only be needed, the museum said, if it could secure the remaining $300,000 through a Travel Alberta grant.

Town council decided, at its regular meeting last Tuesday, to defer the matter until it can sit down with its MD counterparts to discuss a potential sharing formula.
