Lethbridge’s mayor calls on community to come together following ‘divisive’ referendum
A passionate plea has come from the mayor of Lethbridge to put the division created in the community in relation to the Alberta Referendum behind us.
Blaine Hyggen said he was disgusted with recent postings directed at him that he and his family were subjected to on social media.
“We can do better Lethbridge and better!,” the mayor emphatically stated Tuesday.
“I can’t reiterate enough this was digusting what what we’ve seen and the social media posts that have been out there and the calls I’ve received, they would shake anyone. Direct them to me leave my family out of it, so they don’t see this stuff. That’s terrible.”
