New all-way stop: 5 Avenue and 15 Street South

A heads-up for local motorists.

On Friday, Oct. 30, the intersection of 5 Avenue South and 15 Street South will be converted to an all-way stop.

Officials say the change is being made to improve safety for all road users, particularly students and families travelling to and from nearby schools. Increased traffic volumes, collision history and near misses reported by residents were also considered in the decision, say city officials.

Message boards have been placed near the intersection to notify roadway users of the upcoming change.
