City initiates legal proceedings

The City of Lethbridge says it has started legal proceedings in relation to advice given during the funding and development of the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre (now Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre). 

Officials say this step has been taken to protect the financial interests of Lethbridge residents and the municipality. They note, the proceedings have been filed to protect the City’s legal position, and the lawsuit is early on in the proceedings.

Because the matter has been filed with the Court, the City says it will not be commenting any further.
